Living Under the Bridge
Gabriel Duncan

Well I come from the town they call Benton
Where everyone's an outcast
And no one fits in
Walking down the street
To my own drum beat
Smiling and waving at the people I meet
The fridge was empty
When I woke up
Nothing in the freezer
Mom took my truck

So this walk is cold
I don't know where I am
I'm feeling old
The snow is clouding my vision
I can't wait to get there
And see what I've been missing
Hash browns, eggs, O.J. and bacon
My eyes were popped out
By the meal she was making
I couldn't help from skipping
Up the block
Giving a big hug
To grand ma and pop

And we said thanks
For the gifts we have been given
It ain't easy
And it's not living
You want to be dead
'Cause nothing is right
And the voices in your head
Get louder every night
So the day brings fights
And more sleepless nights
Waiting to incite
'Cause you're easy excite
Sitting fires
Because you're bored
Sing along with me
We can't take anymore

But it still comes riding back
Like the camel that breaks your back
Worry 'bout diabetes
Suffering for the greedy
This is verbal graffitti

'Cause you know how it is
Living under the bridge
You don't know how it is
Living under a bridge
'Cause you know how it is
Living under the bridge
